Steak 44 doesn't disappoint. I brought my boyfriend here for our anniversary. I made a reservation via Open Table, which was a super easy process. I received a follow up call and reminder for the reservation, well ahead of time. Service was really good, which I feel is hard to find these days. We were sat at a table in the backroom and had Joe as our server. He checked in on us frequently to ask about drinks and out meal. Our water was always topped off as well. The bread here is complimentary and soooo good. I recommend doing the half and half. Of course we grabbed some drinks, my bf ordered the guava cucumber cocktail and I got a drink with mezcal. As for dinner, I got the petite filet medium rare and my bf got the 22oz Ny strip. We also shared the brussel sprouts as a side. Steaks came served on 500 degree plates and were cooked to perfection. Great experience and I even received a call on the following day to ask about our dinner.

Bae and I concluded my birthday celebration on May 26, 2024, at Steak 44 in AZ. Due to a series of events earlier, we called to change our reservation to 9:15 pm, and they were more than accommodating. The complimentary valet service was a great help, avoiding any delay from parking. At the hostess stand, I was greeted by name and wished a happy birthday. Once seated, I received a personalized birthday card from Steak 44, which was a lovely touch. Our waiter introduced himself, wished me a happy birthday, and greeted me by name. He asked about our water preference, and we chose still water. Unfortunately, a loud and disruptive patron nearby marred our experience. This individual made inappropriate comments, which our server witnessed but couldn't control. Despite this, the staff remained helpful and attentive. When bae stepped out to check on his phone, which was lost, the hostess assured us they would bring it if found. For dinner, we both ordered the filet mignon. Bae had his well-done, while I opted for medium well with truffle butter. We shared Chef Moroni's potatoes. The food arrived promptly, and the steaks were cooked to perfection--juicy, tender, and enhanced by the truffle butter. We also received a complimentary side of corn crème brûlée, mistakenly brought by our waiter but offered as a birthday gift. It was divine, even better than the potatoes. We were too full for dessert but decided to take the Very Chocolate Cake to go. Bae requested a birthday dessert with a candle, and they brought out whipped cream with "Happy Birthday" and a candle. While our waiter was polite, he wasn't as engaging with us as he was with the disruptive patron or the party next to us, which was disappointing. The restaurant's setting is romantic, with a dimly lit dining area. You pass through a bar to reach the main dining room. Overall, despite a few hiccups, the food and overall service made it a memorable birthday dinner.

Shout out to Joyce W. After seeing her review of Steak 44, which is the street they're located on in Phoenix. I had to make reservations since I was in town only for a few nights. Btw several of the family members here are founders of Mastro's empire who sold the chain to a private equity firm in 2007 and is now under the family of restaurants by Laundry's. I checked in and was seated immediately and was sat near the bar. It was on the loud side with the music, and the bar was at capacity. Ordered a bottle of cabernet, appetizer of crispy shrimp, and a complimentary warm dish of yummy bread. I went for the dry aged 22 oz rib eye, fresh branzino with lemon butter, asparagus, pan-fried wild mushrooms, and cream Brule corn. For dessert, we had the Ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake (aka - butter cake). The food and service were outstanding. Definitely suggest reservations, and they have sister restaurants in Del Mar and Beverly Hills named Steak 48 - due to Arizona is the 48th state of the U.S.

Great food and spectacular service at Steak 44. Appeared to be a casual acceptable atmosphere but I would suggest business casual at a minimum in this somewhat formal setting. The wait staff was extremely professional and presented menu options well. Pricing seemed a bit on the higher end but obviously the quality of the food along with the dining experience is what you're paying for here.

What a great night 40th wedding anniversary we shared the crispy shrimp. My wife got these Chilean Seabass. I had the pork chops. Nicole and her staff were excellent. One of the best meals we've ever had. Thank you so much.

treat yourself and ask for Sam as your server, he is the GOAT. He will give you the best recommendations on all wines and trust me, he knows them all. He loves his job and you can tell. Food is amazing, you won't be able to eat another steak else where. Great place to celebrate anything, or just a Tuesday. restaurant is very romantic or if you sit in the bar area you can watch the game. do yourself a favor and get the vanilla cake as a dessert, maybe two.

As someone who doesn't eat a lot of red meat, I was hesitant about coming here as I was worried the non-steak options wouldn't live up to the hype. I was so wrong. I don't think we ordered anything we didn't truly enjoy. I wish we had tried even more but with just two of us we got stuffed fast! The service was perfect, so attentive and even gave us hot towels after the main course. The steak was the best steak my partner had ever had, same with the truffle sauce alongside it. The crispy shrimp was also very good, comparable to the rock shrimp at Nobu or Sumo Maya but a MUCH larger portion AND yummy. The cake was also honestly the best chocolate cake we had ever had. Not a single note here. Awesome service and amazing food.

Party of 6 to celebrate 2 years of being a proud member of the best Fraternity known to God and man, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. We tried a bunch of different foods between the six of us: steak, scallops, butchers cut, wagu beef, mac n cheese, cream corn brulee, fries, roasted brushless sprouts, wine and Whiskey. I wouldn't say my steak was the best I ever had; quite frankly, the outside looked at a little burnt. However, I was hungry and didn't want to send a $109 steak back. It was tasty and cooked medium well like I asked. The waiter was informative and shared with us some of the chef specials and offered different wine pairings. He was attentive to the needs of 6 individuals and our beverages were never empty. The place was nice, huge, and decorated elegantly. Party of 6 we spent $1400 + Tip

WOW! This is quite possibly the best restaurant I have ever been too! In fact I can't remember a meal that came even close to this spectacular! I was lucky enough to get treated by my employer on a multi-day business trip. We had drinks, appetizers, MEAT! No room for dessert (except for the free cookies they brought out!) For starters I had a sample half dozen oysters that I washed down with a delicious local IPA from Huss. There was a tray of 5 different adornments as well as 2 micro bottles of tobacco sauce to spice things up. That was a hell of a start, the best oysters ever! I ordered the bone in ribeye (22oz) with the black truffle green peppercorn sauce. Perfectly cooked, this steak was fantastic! They dry age the meat and serve it on a fiery hot plate. Then the sides rolled in, I got the creamed spinach which was awesome. Mashed potatoes were great. The corn creme brulee was something remarkable, an obvious culinary genius came up with this one! Oh and seasoned potato wedges!? They were a cross between French fries and chips, so tasty! The service here was another level as well. This place is the real deal. The restaurant is massive with 2 full bars and tons of tables and it was packed on a Wednesday night. You have got to try this place out!
